An internationally notable conference titled “A Misunderstood Freedom: Religious Liberty in Both Theory and Practice” was organized by the School of Law of our university.

On Thursday, October 9, a conference titled “A Misunderstood Freedom: Religious Liberty in Both Theory and Practice” was organized by the School of Law of Ibn Haldun University, featuring Prof. Steven T. Collis, a faculty member at the University of Texas School of Law.

During the conference, Prof. Collis addressed both the theoretical framework and practical applications of religious liberty, discussing the challenges and common misunderstandings associated with it. By providing striking examples from different legal and cultural contexts, he emphasized that the protection of religious liberty is vital not only for faith-based groups but also for the health of civil society as a whole.

As part of the event, meetings were held at both the rectorate and faculty levels with the delegation from the University of Texas School of Law, where potential joint projects and academic collaborations between the two universities were discussed.
