The Second Conference of the Contemporary Challenges in Family Law Series Was Held
The second conference of the “Contemporary Challenges in Family Law Series” organized by the Faculty of Law, was held on the comparison of the Turkish and German legal systems.

As part of the “Contemporary Challenges in Family Law Series” organized by the Faculty of Law, the second session addressing issues in international family and inheritance law encountered in the Turkish and German legal systems was held online on March 31, 2026.

The program drew attention for its academic and practical dimensions, while also providing an opportunity to evaluate different legal systems from a comparative perspective. Attorney Asst. Prof. Nebi Kaya, who served as a speaker at the event, specifically addressed the application of family and inheritance law between Türkiye and Germany from a comparative perspective. The session was moderated by Asst. Prof. Meryem Solmaz, a faculty member of the Law School.

Throughout the program, it was emphasized that the increasing cross-border legal relationships driven by globalization have given rise to new areas of concern in family and inheritance law. In this context, attention was drawn to the importance of integrating academic research with practical experience.

The Faculty of Law at Ibn Haldun University continues to foster discussions on current legal issues and contribute to academic knowledge production through such events that bring together different disciplines.
