The conference titled “Arbitration Practices and Career Paths in Arbitration for Lawyers”, organized in collaboration between Ibn Haldun University Faculty of Law and Young ISTAC (Istanbul Arbitration Centre), was held on February 17, 2026, at the Teoman Duralı Conference Hall.
The speakers at the event were Young ISTAC Board Members Attorney M. Talha Çakıroğlu and Attorney Gülce Keskin. The event evaluated the fundamental characteristics of arbitration as an alternative dispute resolution method to judicial proceedings and the reasons for its preference, focusing on the validity conditions of arbitration agreements and the limits of arbitrability. In addition, the legal framework of arbitration was discussed in the context of international regulations and national legislation, touching upon ISTAC's institutional structure and its practical application, as well as practical tools for establishing arbitration clauses.
The conference, which attracted considerable interest, included assessments of specialization opportunities, professional development paths, and career planning for law students and young lawyers aiming for a career in arbitration.
