| 1) | In accordance with the Senate decision dated June 16, 2017, regarding three language education, all departments of our University require students to have at least B2 level proficiency in Turkish, English, and Arabic as a graduation requirement. a- The course plan is organized in such a way that students can meet these requirements. Students will be required to enroll in language courses appropriate to their level, as determined by placement exams administered by the Language School. b- International students who are proficient in Turkish are required to take at least two Turkish courses appropriate to their level in lieu of TLL 101 and TLL 102. c- Courses exempted under the ARA code will be indicated with an E grade as credit-bearing and ECTS-equivalent. |
| 2) | To graduate from the Law (30% English) undergraduate program, a total of 164 credits and 240 ECTS courses must be taken. At least 72 ECTS courses must be taken in English to graduate. If the English ECTS load cannot be completed with compulsory courses, it must be completed with elective courses taught in English. |
| 3) | Students who started in the 2020-2021 academic year and thereafter, but have taken and passed LAW 105-LAW 106 Comparative Law I and II courses, will take two 5 ECTS elective courses instead of LAW 209-210 courses. Students who have previously taken but failed LAW 105-LAW 106 or have never taken them will take LAW 209-210. These students will complete their ECTS credits by taking elective courses if they are insufficient. |
| 4) | Students who enrolled in the first year of the Law Degree Program in the fall semester of 2021-2022 and before are exempt from university common courses other than HIST and TLL in the first-year curriculum. These students complete their remaining ECTS credits with elective courses. Students who began their bachelor's degree in the 2021-2022 academic year fulfill their graduation requirements by taking any required and any elective courses from the University Common Courses Required and Elective packages. |
| 5) | Those who have taken and passed LAW 203-LAW 204 Administrative Law I and II courses in the 2021-2022 Fall and Spring Semesters and before are exempt from the Administrative Litigation Law course. These students take Elective courses to fulfill their ECTS load. Similarly, students who have taken and successfully completed LAW 316 “International Human Rights Law” in the 2021-2022 Fall and Spring Semesters and prior are exempt from LAW 312E / LAW 312 Human Rights Law / Human Rights Law. These students take elective courses to fulfill their ECTS requirements. |
| 6) | Students who have previously taken LAW 307 Philosophy of Law and Sociology I and failed, or who have never taken it, must take LAW 307E/LAW 308 Philosophy of Law and Sociology II. Philosophy of Law course to complete their graduation requirements. Students who have previously taken and failed LAW 308 Philosophy of Law and Sociology of Law II or have never taken it may take LAW 308E/LAW 308 Sociology of Law / Sociology of Law course to complete their graduation requirements. |
