The Symposium on Judicial Decisions and Legal Debates Regarding Law No. 4688, organized in collaboration with Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and Memur-Sen, was held from January 10-12, 2025, with broad participation from the academic community, judiciary members, and trade union representatives. The event featured in-depth discussions on the implementation of Law No. 4688 on Public Servants' Trade Unions and Collective Bargaining Agreements, as well as the evaluation of judicial decisions related to the law.
At the symposium, Prof. Yeliz Bozkurt Gümrükçüoğlu, Head of the Private Law Department at İbn Haldun University School of Law, presented her paper titled “Access to Collective Bargaining Agreements and Solidarity Dues.” In her presentation, Bozkurt Gümrükçüoğlu addressed the conditions for benefiting from collective bargaining agreements, the legal basis of collective bargaining bonuses and solidarity dues, and examined current issues in this field. She also provided solution proposals and comparative legal perspectives.
