The conflict between taxi and uber was discussed as the fourth conference of the Conference Series of Current Legal Issues, which is organized by Ibn Haldun University Law School. Dr. Omer Faruk Erol, a faculty member of the Law School, focused in his speech on the present transportation systems in Turkish metropolitans including Istanbul, the conflict between Uber and Taxi, the differences between them and current legal status of both Uber and Taxi. Dr. Erol stated that the market dynamics in transportation field should be determined correctly and he warned about possible problems in the long run if an accurate approach cannot be developed. He pointed out that Uber is actually not a problem, rather it is a consequence of the demand to transport more decently with higher quality.
