Prof. Dr. Yavuz Atar Commentated on the Presidential System


Prof. Dr. Yavuz Atar, a faculty member of Ibn Haldun University Law School explained presidential system in the conference on “Presidential System and Orientation Period”, which is the second conference of the Conference Series of Current Legal Issues. Prof. Atar stated that a Turkish model presidential system was created by the changes within the Constitution of 1982, which job descriptions are clearly separated. He pointed out that parliamentary regime is not an ideal system for a country which has still solve very basic problems like Turkey because there is a possibility of coalition government by reminding that an unhealthy coalition government means lack of stability both in politics and economy of the country.
