Short Biography

Kürşad Yağcı graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 1998 and completed his legal internship at the Istanbul Bar Association for one year. In 1999, he started his Master's Degree in Private Law at Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences and completed his Master's Degree in 2002 by defending his master's thesis titled "Principles Regarding the Determination of Property Rights in accordance with Cadastral Law No. 3402", supervised by Prof. Dr. Özer Seliçi. In 2002, he started his doctoral studies at Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Private Law. During his doctoral thesis studies titled " Punitive Disinheritance", which was supervised by Prof. Dr. Saibe Oktay Özdemir, he visited Albert Ludwigs University Faculty of Law in Freiburg, Germany in 2006-2007 as a scholarship of Tinçel Foundation. After successfully defending his doctoral thesis, he was awarded a doctoral diploma in 2010. In 2014-2015, she was a TUBITAK Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Temple University, Beasley School of Law (U.S.A.). Since 1999, she started to work as a research assistant at Istanbul University Faculty of Law, Department of Civil Law. Since 2010, he continued to work as a Research Assistant and in 2014, he received the title of Assistant Professor. He is currently a lecturer at Istanbul University Faculty of Law, Department of Civil Law. He gives lectures on Civil Law (Law of Contracts, Law of Property, Law of Inheritance, Law of Anonymous Contracts, Health Law, Law of Collateral, Law of Urban Transformation) at Istanbul University and other universities.
