Assoc. Prof. Barış Kaya is member of Faculty of Business and Management Sciences at Istanbul Esenyurt University Faculty of Law. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 2000. Assoc. Prof. Kaya completed his master’s degree at Bournemouth University Institute of Business & Law in the field of International Commercial Law in 2006 with his thesis titled "The Impact of Terrorism on Marine Insurance" and his PhD in 2018 with his thesis titled "Appraisal Right of Shareholders in Publicly-Held Corporations". He became Associate Professor in 2022. His Associate Professorship Thesis is titled "Obstacles Arising From Patent and Data Privilege Rights in the Market Entry of Generic Drugs".  

Assoc. Prof. Barış Kaya has been teaching part-time at Ibn Haldun University since 2023.
